U3Applications.com is your source for free apps for the U3 platform. Though SanDisk, the creators of U3, no longer maintain any U3 apps, I have voluntarily created this site for distributing whatever apps I can create. I do not guarantee that the apps on the site will always be up to date, as I do have other responsibilities. I hope you can find something useful in my selection of apps, which you can browse through from the home page. As you can see, I have many different types of applications, covering computer uses from communication to tune up to multimedia.
If you happened to stumble across this site and are wondering what U3 is and how you can get it, let me tell you. U3 is a platform for bringing your favorite apps with you on a USB device. It includes a menu system that allows you to browse through your various apps, install new ones, and even protect the data on your USB drive from intruders. Not all USB flash drives support the U3 platform. Some SanDisk® ones, several Kingston® drives, and a few Geek Squad® drives support this platform. If you would like to try out the platform for yourself, you should look on Amazon for SanDisk Cruzer Micro drives. They will most likely not come with the U3 platform installed, but you can download it from SanDisk's U3 site. This is just a small site to support remaining U3 drives, and does not contain any U3 apps.
If, while browsing through my selection, you find that I do not have an app that you really like and would like to see added to my site, feel free to request it. As I said, I do this voluntarily, so I may or may not be able or have time to add the app you request. Or, it might not be portable, due to too much reliance on the registry. One of the major features of U3 apps is that they do not leave any traces on the computer that they are used on, so I cannot create any apps that are going to leave registry entries behind. Also, there is a chance that the app you want already has a U3 version maintained by its creators. You should check out that possibility first, as official version are likely to be better than the versions I create. Try searching on your favorite search engine for "(app name) for U3", for instance: "CCleaner for U3".
